EDINBURG
CAMPUS

This campus continued to see growth this year with an average attendance of 450 people, each weekend. Edinburg launched a new youth ministry for 6th – 12th grade students, with home groups and special youth services. This campus had their first-ever live baptisms, with 32 people taking this next step in their faith.

MISSION
CAMPUS

The Mission Campus is where Palm Valley Church started and still remains the epicenter of the ongoing vision. The Mission campus saw an increase of growth in attendance by over 10% this past year! This Campus is home to all the main events of Palm Valley Church each year.

IGLESIA

Iglesia Palm Valley is a Spanish speaking campus that broke 300 people in attendance for the first time, that is an increase of over 40% growth, in just one year. They had their first-ever live baptisms on campus, with 10 people taking this next step in their faith.

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

The heart of Palm Valley Church is to see all people turn to Christ, being transformed into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We have seen an increase of people come through our three-week classes to learn more about our beliefs, how they can have a thriving devotional life and ultimately get plugged into serving at PVC.

This past year, 211 people became members and 113 join our Serve Teams! When the people of God unite in this common purpose to be a light in our community, we believe the best is yet to come!

Student Ministries

The heart and soul behind Student Ministries is to see children and students develop a genuine relationship with Jesus, along with finding accountability in relationships with their peers and leaders.

PVC Kids ministry delivers a passionate message of God’s love and hope to hundreds of Infant – 5th grade children at all our services, across both campuses in Mission and Edinburg. We are excited to affect the next generation as hundreds of 6th – 12th grade students gather each week at the West End building, on our Mission Campus.

Life-change is happening, as honest conversations are taking place amongst students discovering God’s love and purpose for their lives.

“…A church of such a size that the city and community cannot ignore it. A Church that grows so quickly that buildings struggle to contain the increase.” The Church I See

KIDS

(nursery – 5th grade)

2019 was such an amazing year for PVC Kids! One of the most evident and meaningful movements God has brought to my attention is “growth”. Not only have we grown as a ministry, but the spiritual growth within the children this past year has been such a blessing to witness. It is inspiring to think of how their young, learning hearts could inspire an entire generation to further the Kingdom of God.

This past summer, we encouraged the kids to invite friends, family, and neighbors to our brand new summer event called “Summer Nights”, the response was amazing! We had about 2400 kids attend and participate in the gospel message, as well as community time with family-focused activities each week, during June and July!

Thank you parents for bringing your kids week after week, and thank you to all the PVC Kids volunteers. You joyfully take up the towel to serve our kids – and God only knows the fruit of all that is being sown. The impact we can have on our children’s lives could change everything. I cannot wait to see how much more God will do through us all in 2020. It’s going to be wonderful!

YOUTH

(6th-12th Grade)

Each week, our doors are open and students walk in and develop a genuine relationship with Jesus, along with finding accountability in relationships with their peers and leaders. PVC Youth ministry delivers a passionate message of God’s love and hope to over 700 middle school and high school students each week at all our services, in Mission and Edinburg.

In the summer, we always make intentional plans for students to engage God in new ways. Over 850 students attended “3 Big Nights”; a three-day evening conference that kicks off the summer. We saw 100 students be intentional with their time and dive into deeper teaching and discipleship through the “Vertical Summer Program”.

Camp Tejas is always a highlight in the summer for all the students 6th – 12th grade who attend. We had 635 students join together for this life-changing experience where they were challenged to live out their faith, and also build the right relationships in their lives to fuel their faith.

Women’s
Ministry

In 2019, the women of PVC learned how to awaken to what God has for them in every area of their lives. The year was marked by our 9th annual Splendor Women’s Conference, where we discovered how to see life through the eyes of our Savior.

We also came together for Sisterhood Night services, where we experienced worship and teaching designed just for the feminine heart. We finished the fall with over 700 women attending the Bible Study: The Gospel of Mark, by Lisa Harper. There, we found community in small groups, and shared life together.
I am in awe of the dedicated and compassionate women of Palm Valley Church, who are hungry for all God has for them!

Men’s
Ministry

What an amazing year we had in 2019! God continued to stir the hearts and lives of men at Palm Valley Church. Our monthly Men’s Breakfast continued over all three campuses with an average attendance of 260. It was also exciting to see men from all different professions and walks of life share their personal stories about their lives and the work that God is doing in and through them.

Our Men’s Connect Groups continue to grow as we have added 12 new groups this past year, for a total of 35 groups. In these groups, men are able to find genuine fellowship and a safe place to talk about life challenges and how to use God’s Word to overcome.

This past October, we had our annual Ignite Men’s Conference. Over 800 men gathered for a two-day conference to worship and grow in their relationship with God. Over 20 men gave their lives to Christ and for the first time, many others recommitted to live as Christ has called them to live.

We also took our first “men’s mission trip” to Costa Rica in 2019 with 22 men. We went and served the underprivileged and marginalized people of this country. Out of this trip some of our men have started a ministry called “Calles” that provides food, clothing, and the love of Jesus to the underprivileged of the Rio Grande Valley. God was active and moving in 2019 and we are believing that 2020 will be even greater!
